First released in 2011, the Going Away EP is Best Friend's most powerful statement. After 10 years, the people have spoken, and they want it back on Bandcamp to purchase, enjoy, share with their loved ones, and remember what was - and perhaps dream of what could be. Included in this deluxe edition are two tracks from Best Friend's similarly celebrated self titled debut album, "Seafoam Dream" and crowd pleaser "Beach Parking Lot." Absent from this generous re-release is "Down to the Beach (With My Best Friends)" and please note, valued listener, that this is not an oversight. Part of the genius of Best Friend was the ability to take risks and explore sounds the likes of which the world had never thought possible. With risk comes the opportunity for failure, and fate saw it that we failed hard with "Down to the Beach (With My Best Friends)" and it is important to the creators of such brave music that the world never hear it again in any capacity. Don't even think about it. And if you remember what it sounded like, please do not tell anyone.
